Head of Exterior Product Development – Join Us in Shaping the Sustainable Future of Construction!

Do you want to revolutionize the construction industry and develop entirely new carbon-binding facade solutions? We are now looking for an experienced and passionate product development professional for the Head of Exterior Product Development role, someone who will take strong ownership of developing a new product family.

What will you be doing?
In this role, you will play a hands-on part in developing next-generation facade products that offer a sustainable alternative to traditional building materials. You will be responsible for product development and technical solution design in close collaboration with the R&D team, customers, and other stakeholders.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading the development of a new facade product family, utilizing your strong practical experience in the construction industry.
• Understanding various facade construction techniques and applying them both in Finland and internationally (especially in the Nordics and Europe), considering climate-related requirements.
• Comparing and implementing different construction technologies to find the best solutions together with customers.
• Independently carrying out small-scale installations.
• Incorporating customer insights into product development—listening to end-users, resellers, builders, and developers to integrate their needs into product design.
• Being curious and passionate about understanding customer needs and solving problems—deeply exploring the market.
• Working closely with architects and designers to ensure that our products meet both technical and aesthetic requirements.
• Assessing building physics and functional structures to develop technically and commercially competitive solutions.

Who is this role for?

• You have strong hands-on experience in product development and the construction industry, especially in facade structures.
• You have in-depth knowledge of construction techniques and materials and can compare different options effectively.
• You hold a degree in engineering or architecture (B.Sc., M.Sc., or equivalent), preferably in construction or building materials—architectural training is also a strong advantage if you have a solid understanding of both design and technical structures.
• Design is more than just a word to you—you know how to combine aesthetics with technical functionality.
• You can work fluently in both Finnish and English.

Location & Travel

• Location: Tampere, hybrid working model.
• Some travelling required within the Nordics and Central Europe.

Compensation
This role is completely new, and we are open to discussions regarding compensation. At this stage, we anticipate the base salary to be in the range of 4,500–6,000 EUR per month, based on experience and fit. Additionally, we are building an employee ownership program, in which this role would also be included. If your salary expectations fall outside our initial range but you find the opportunity exciting, we would love to hear your perspective on a compensation model that would work for you.
